To fix toe trip hazards on your sidewalk or driveway can be expensive and take a lot of your time or having to hire a professional to do it. Your standard options include replacing the section of concrete or grinding down the high side of the hazard. Depending on what is causing the problem both methods may be only temporary and the color and texture is diffucult to match the original section poured. Cutting or grinding the high side of the concrete is most likely the fastest method used however, this method diminishes the structural integrity of the concrete and does not fix what is causing the problem. In many cases, this may have to be repeated by cutting away even more material. Bottom line is: this is an expensive, temporary repair used by companies to meet A.D.A. complience for their facility.
